Second in the range, the Keo Blade Ceramic pedal combines all the benefits of the patented Blade technology with ceramic bearings for an incredibly smooth pedaling experience and outstanding durability. Featuring a carbon body and blade paired with a Chromoly+ axle, this pedal weighs just 115 grams, delivering impressive lightness on every ride. The large stainless-steel contact surface (705 mm²) provides impeccable stability to transfer all your power to the drivetrain, while the carbon body is aerodynamically optimized to beat the clock.

Thanks to its 56 mm Q-Factor, this pedal provides a slightly wider stance, which can improve stability, comfort, and hip–knee–ankle alignment while pedalling. To choose between a 53 mm or 56 mm Q-Factor, a bike fitting assessment is recommended.

Release is performed by rotating the heel outward laterally. The equivalences correspond to the force your heel must apply to initiate this movement: at 12 Nm, unclipping is equivalent to moving approximately 6 kg laterally with the heel.

Two parameters can help refine your choice

Shoe size — The larger your shoe size, the greater the lever arm between the cleat and the heel, and the less force is required to release at the same tension.

Cleat position — A rearward cleat position (mid-foot position) brings the pivot point closer to the heel and therefore reduces the lever arm: releasing requires more effort at the same tension. If your cleat is positioned rearward, a lower tension may be more suitable.

Rule of thumb — If in doubt between two tensions, always choose the lower value. The KEO Blade is interchangeable: you can move to a higher tension as your progression evolves.

Blade tension directly influences comfort, safety and performance. The higher the tension, the more it suits experienced cyclists looking for firm retention and maximum efficiency.

The KEO Blade range offers four tension levels: 8, 12, 16 and 20 Nm, covering the full spectrum of road cycling, from leisure rides to elite competition.

Choosing your Q-Factor

The Q-Factor refers to the distance between the crank arm and the centre of the pedal. It therefore influences the spacing between your feet and directly impacts hip-knee-ankle alignment. The choice between 53 mm and 56 mm depends on your morphology and posture. A postural analysis is recommended to determine the most suitable setting.

The Blade technology offers 4 tension levels: 8/12/16/20. In less than 30 seconds using a single specialized tool, you can replace the blades to select your ideal tension.
