Warranty Policy

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Thank you for choosing a LOOK product. Our equipment is carefully designed to offer a high-performance, durable, and safe cycling experience. To fully enjoy your bike, we invite you to read the following information.

Maximum weight and familiarization

Our products are optimized for cyclists whose weight does not exceed 100 kg (220.5 lbs).

Before you start riding, take the time to familiarize yourself with your pedals:

  • Practice clipping in and unclipping your feet while stationary;
  • Get used to anticipating this movement at each stop or in any situation requiring you to put a foot on the ground.
  • Good pedal mastery is essential for a smooth and safe experience.

WARNING - For your safety and that of others, immediately replace the handlebar and stem in the event of an impact or crash. These components play a key role in the safety and stability of your bike: they must never be overlooked.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE TO THE BIKE

During transport or maintenance, never clamp the frame of your bike directly. Clamping systems (work stands, bike racks, etc.) can damage the paint, crack, or crush the tubes.

  • For repairs, always secure the bike by the seatpost.
  • For transport, tie it by the wheels or the fork, never by the frame.

These precautions preserve the integrity of the frame and extend its lifespan.

Do not clamp the frame during transport or maintenance work. Clamping devices such as those found on a work stand or a bike rack can damage the paint or even crack, crush, or break the tubes of lightweight high-performance frames. To hold the bike during repairs, clamp the seatpost. To secure the bike for car transport, attach it at the wheels or fork ends.

SERVICE LIFE – WEAR – REQUIRED INSPECTION

The service life of LOOK components depends on several factors: your body type, your riding style, your usage conditions, and your maintenance. Impacts, crashes, improper or sudden use can alter the structure of the components and reduce their lifespan. Some elements are subject to natural wear.

Have your bike inspected regularly by an authorized LOOK dealer to detect any cracks, deformation, fatigue, or wear.

In the event of deformation, impact marks, cracks, or stress traces, even slight ones, immediately replace the affected component.

A worn or damaged component can compromise your bike’s safety.

Inspection frequency depends on your riding habits; your LOOK dealer can advise you.

Replacements must be carried out exclusively by an authorized LOOK dealer.

The list of replaceable components is available from these dealers.

READ BEFORE RIDING

Cycling, and especially off-road riding, is a demanding activity.

To minimize the risk of injuries, adopt good practices:

  • Maintain and adjust your bike properly;
  • Always wear an approved helmet;
  • Comply with traffic laws and local regulations;
  • Stay alert to traffic hazards.

If you ride at night, make sure you can see and be seen.

Reflectors do not replace suitable front and rear lighting.

Wearing reflective clothing is strongly recommended (and sometimes mandatory depending on local legislation).

EXTENDING THE EXPERIENCE OF YOUR PRODUCT

A bike, like any mechanical object, has a limited lifespan if not properly maintained.

Each part is subject to wear, stress, external conditions, and material aging.

Impacts, overload, or repeated stress can cause invisible damage leading to serious failures.

A crashed bike or one used in extreme conditions must always be inspected by a qualified professional mechanic before being ridden again.

Material fatigue or exceeding a component’s useful lifespan can lead to sudden failure.

Modern lightweight parts offer excellent performance but require regular maintenance and checks.

Pay attention to:

  • any crack, scratch, or change in color,
  • any unusual noise or different sensation, especially in high-stress areas (joints, forks, seatpost, screws, headset, etc.).

Dynamic or aggressive riding increases stress on the bike and reduces its longevity.

MAINTENANCE

Have your bike serviced by a qualified professional.

Your authorized LOOK dealer remains your best partner for maintenance and safety.

The more intensive your practice, the more frequent the inspections should be.

Consult your bike’s user manual for recommended procedures and intervals.

Never ride with a broken or damaged component.

A broken spoke, for example, can cause a cascade of wear on other parts and lead to sudden failure.

Have any damaged part repaired or replaced immediately.

Regular inspection and maintenance are essential for your safety and to extend your bike’s lifespan.

A poorly maintained bike can lead to a serious accident (injuries, paralysis, even death).

MANDATORY CHECK-UPS

After the first 500 kilometers, bring your bike to an authorized LOOK dealer for a full inspection.

This visit allows adjustments and ensures safety, performance, and durability.

To ensure your bike’s reliability, regularly check:

  • Tightening of the stem on the fork and handlebar.
  • Tightening of bottle cages.
  • Tightening of chainrings.
  • Tightening of brakes.
  • Tightening of the rear derailleur hanger.
  • Tightening of the derailleurs.
  • Tightening of the saddle on the seatpost.
  • Tightening of the seatpost on the frame.
  • Tightening of brake components (pads, pad holders, calipers).
  • Tightening of pedals on crank arms.
  • Condition of brake and derailleur housing/cables/hoses.
  • Absence of play in the headset and bottom bracket.
  • Transmission system condition (chainrings, cassette, chain).
  • Wheel condition (trueness, braking surface, quick-release).
  • Condition/wear of braking components (pads, discs).
  • Condition and wear of tires/tubulars.
  • Tire/tubular inflation according to recommended pressure.

LIFETIME FRAME WARRANTY

The quality and reliability of our frames, which we manage from design to commercialization, allow us—through our authorized agents and distributors—to offer, in addition to legal guarantees, a free lifetime warranty on LOOK frames, cockpits, and forks.

Application conditions

To validate the lifetime warranty and benefit from Crash Replacement: the bike must be registered within 30 days from the date of purchase in your LOOK Cycle Customer Space.

As part of the lifetime warranty, paint and finish benefit from a 3-year warranty starting from the date of purchase.

Coverage

This lifetime warranty is:

  • valid only for the first owner,
  • non-transferable,
  • limited to the frame, fork, and cockpit (excluding paint and finish).

If applied, LOOK will, at its discretion, repair or replace the concerned product.

PEDAL WARRANTY EXTENSION

LOOK also guarantees its pedals with a free one-year extension, in addition to the legal warranty, for all pedals purchased from June 1, 2017 (2016 ranges and later).

Application conditions

To validate the one-year warranty extension, pedal registration must be completed within 30 days after the purchase date.

Coverage

This one-year extension is only valid for the first buyer and is non-transferable. Under this extension, LOOK limits itself to the repair or replacement—at its sole discretion—of all or part of the product concerned.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER normal wear of components, including cleats, bearings, and pedal springs. It also excludes damage caused by inappropriate use, improper storage, unauthorized repairs, or intentional modifications.

CRASH REPLACEMENT

In the event of an impact, fall, or accident, it may be difficult to accept the breakage of a frame and the cost of a complete replacement.

This program allows you to benefit from a half-price discount on a new frame, cockpit, or fork within the first year following purchase.

Application conditions

To benefit from it:

  1. Your bike must have been registered within 30 days of purchase.
  2. Present it to your authorized LOOK dealer, along with the invoice.
  3. The dealer will submit the request to our Customer Service, the only authority empowered to validate the Crash Replacement program.
  4. Or directly to LOOK Cycle through the Contact Us page.

The Crash Replacement offer provides a 50% discount in the first 12 months following the purchase of your bike.

This program is reserved for the first user and is non-transferable.

The replaced frame, cockpit, and fork must be returned to LOOK. Failure to return them cancels the discount.

Coverage

The program concerns only the frame and fork.

Other components, as well as labor costs, transportation, or restoration, remain at the customer’s expense.

Frames, cockpits, and forks replaced under the program benefit from the legal guarantee (2 years) applicable to any new bike.
