2011: VICTORIES AND EMOTIONS
This year again, many athletes carried the colours of LOOK on the podiums. Whether it was on the road, the track, in triathlons or MTB, 2011 was fruitful for LOOK.
With 50% of the ICU WORLD TOUR teams riding this season with Keo pedals, the year promised to be rich in emotions and in victories on the road; we will retain among all these magnificent performances the victory of David Moncoutié on the Mediterranean Tour, his 4thconsecutive best climber’s Jersey on the Vuelta a España as well as the best Junior‘s Jersey on Paris-Nice for Rein Taraamae.
Philippe Gilbert accomplished a hat-trick in the spring on Ardennaises classics and did a faultless performance this season, which allows him to achieve the first place of the ICU classification with Keo Blade. The Europcar team has also thrilled us throughout the Tour de France, with the feats of Thomas Voeckler, the victorious arrival at l’Alpe d’Huez of Pierre Rolland that would allow him to win the Best Junior Jersey. LOOK pedals also won a Grand Tour with Juan José Cobo who imposed himself on the Vuelta a España.
On the track, the year will remain marked by Grégory Baugé‘s third World Champion title for Speed . The whole French team, as well as the Chinese, Canadian, Venezuelan federations have skimmed the podiums throughout the season.
Remember the name of Marvin Gruget, new Junior World Champion of X-Terra, an event in which he for the first time used his brand new LOOK 920, as well as that of Marion Lorblanchet, vice World Champion of X-Terra…
Another strong moment of the triathlon season, the 5th place of Mike Aigroz in the Ironman of Hawaii on the 596, who has just been elected athlete of the year in his country.
