The E-765 OPTIMUM is an electrically-assisted road bike that opens up an entire new world to riders. The electrical assistance enables the bike to accelerate to, and sustain, up to 20 mph speeds on a climb.
The key frame features remain the 100% carbon frame and fork and the stays featuring ‘double wave’ technology: 3D WAVE for enhanced comfort.
Since LOOK’s beginning in the bicycle world when metals were king, our material of choice has always been carbon. For over 30 years LOOK has developed, in its own factories, a unique expertise and a vast know-how in the carbon field.
The integrated stem is designed to compliment the frame's aesthetic and to be both lightweight and rigid to ensure precise bike handling. The DIRECT DRIVE concept enables the simultaneous development of all steering components (fork, headset, stem and handlebars). This ensures that there is no apparent loss of rigidity in the cockpit and provides a real sense of security and performance.
Drawing on our experience in working with carbon, we developed a layup dedicated exclusively to the E-765 OPTIMUM. Thanks to the ultra-precise fibre orientations and a specific combination of various types of carbon - 25% HM, 31% IM, 31% HR and 13% specific fibre - we were able to maximze pedaling performance, while preserving ride comfort.
The stays are designed with 2 deflection points that enable a 15% increase in the natural compliance of the carbon. Furthermore, by flattening the tube its vertical movement can be improved while increasing its lateral rigidity. These uniquely shaped seat stays filter shock while increaseing traction and control on rough terrain, without increasing the frame's weight.
The German company, an expert in the development of the electric motor since 2013, has developed the most complete motor system on the market. Combining this motor unit with our MADE BY LOOK carbon frame was an easy decision from the early stages of design.

The E-765 OPTIMUM weighs in at 13.4 kg on average. This weight is achieved thanks to the compact 250 W motor unit developped by FAZUA. This system drastically reduces the weight of the battery/motor assembly, which weighs in at 4.6 kg.
This FAZUA drive system, which is the lightest and most compact in its category, enables cyclists to easily achieve an assisted speed of 25 km/h (20 mph).
The low overall weight and seamless motor engagement produces a ride sensation that is close to that of a muscle-powered bike. There is no added pedal resistance when the unit is not offering assist, due to the complete disengagement of the motor.
The handlebar mounted remote enables precise control of the electrical assist. There are 4 available modes: 0 W mode where you rely solely on your legs, two intermediate modes with respective power ratings of 125 W and 250 W, and finally, rocket mode, which can reach a maximum power assist of 400 W.
Riders can control their range by making use of both human and electrical power. An average range of 53 miles has been recorded for mixed use. In the mountains the mixed use average is 32 kilometers (20 miles) in the mountains and 53 (33 miles) in the city.
Designed as a single motor and battery unit, the FAZUA system used in the E-765 OPTIMUM allows for the option of leaving the electrical unit at home. The unit can be replaced with a storage container, to protect the frame, for a fully human powered pedaling experience.
The free application offered by FAZUA converts the E-765 OPTIMUM into a connected bike. Connected directly to the battery, track its life and charge status, as well as its temperature.
Including navigation and GPS tracking, the app can offer several routes to a chosen destination. It will provide the elevation and distance that can be covered based on the battery charge status. Riders can also track their rides in real time using the speedometer, and after the session, by consulting a summary of the effort.
