The French Cycling Federation is ready for Apeldoorn! From February 28th to March 4th, Team France team will be on the hunt for Rainbows on the Apeldoorn track!
A year after the success in Hong Kong, where France brought home three titles, rider selection for the week in The Netherlands was unveiled yesterday on the grounds of the National Velodrome. The speed faction will be made up of a combination of experience and youth, riders like François Pervis (seven World Championship titles) who has 33 years on the odometer will be teamed up with 19-year-old Rayan Helal, last year’s World Junior Champion. Injured this winter during the Keirin in Pruszkow after a thunderous start among the Elites, Mathilde Gros is back in action! At 19 years of age, the « Provençale » who just secured her future with LOOK through 2024, will be participating in her second World Championships,
« I am happy to be back among the group and to return to competition. To avoid any risks with my shoulder, I’ll be riding in the individual sprint only« , she said.
The endurance lineup is not lacking in ambition either, composed of riders such as Benjamin Thomas, double title winner last year in Hong Kong, and Morgan Kneisky (four-time World Champion).
