In eight days of racing, the Dane wrote one for the record books that could well spark his career to come. Act One, Friday, June 9th, at the end of a tight sprint, the Astana rider ends the day in 6th place on the stage that finished in Chambéry, in the heart of the French Alps. Two days later, he has the ride of his life on the ascent to the Plateau de Solaison, eliminating all of his opponents as he rides away to solo victory. And in the end, Fuglsang takes the general classification of this exciting edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné by a mere ten seconds.
