Its innovative design combined monocoque carbon and Kevlar tubes, bonded into aluminum lugs, creating a hybrid structure that offered unprecedented lightness, stiffness, and vibration absorption. Weighing less than 9 kilograms complete, it delivered a radically different riding experience compared to the steel frames of its time—more efficient when climbing, more comfortable, and giving riders a decisive advantage.
