LOOK Cycle and the Cofidis Professional Cycling Team celebrate Bastille Day in Blue, Grey, Yellow, and Red!
In celebration of Bastille Day, July 14, Team Cofidis will be riding on custom painted LOOK 695 SR framesets. These bikes will be painted in the Mondiran color scheme of LOOK’s celebrated Logo.
The Mondrian Colors will also be seen under Cofidis riders on the Champs-Elysées in Paris for the conclusion of Tour de France. This year is also the 25th Anniversary of the first victory on a clipless pedal at the 1985 Tour de France won by Bernard Hinault, another LOOK First.
Integrated Technology for a Purpose: Precision Handling and Stiffness
The LOOK 695 framesets were introduced just days before the start of the Tour de France at the Magny-Cours Formula 1 Race Track in Nevers, France. In just two short weeks these frames have become mainstays at the head of the peloton, in long breakaways, and climbing the high mountains of the Tour de France. Complete and thoughtful integration is the key to this revolutionary race machine.
The frame weight is only 900 grams (frameset only)! The complete bike is 6,8 kg.
The all new ZED 2 one-piece carbon crankset, a result of 5 years of R&D, yields the best stiffness to weight ratio in the world, at a feathery 320grams.
The LOOK patented E-Post system is the only seatpost that allows for fine tuning of ride quality through its unique elastomer system, while still offering a variety setback adjustments.
The combination of that ALL NEW HSC 7 carbon fork and LOOK patented C-Stem, results in a cockpit that is 15% stiffer and 16% lighter than previous models. The C-Stem also allows for a precise fit by offering -9 to +13 degrees of stem adjustability.
The LOOK 695 finishes by using CFD (Continuous Fiber Design) to increase the performance and ride quality of the frame. CFD optimizes the use of carbon by creating continuous fibers starting in the head tube and running all the way to the bottom bracket and through the top tube to the seat tube. It takes more than 20 hours to produce the handmade 695 in our factory. A true work of “Haute Couture” commented LOOK’s CEO, Dominique Bergin.
