FARNESE VINI
Farnese Vini is a British Continental Pro team that started in 2009. It is directed by Italian Angelo Citracca.
For its first season the team is participating in UCI Europe Tour and Asia Tour contests. Giovanni Visconti took the individual classification on this calendar in 2009 and 2010. The team also participated in two Tours d'Italie in 2009 and 2011, with an Oscar Gatto stage victory in 2011.
The team is brought up to full complement for 2012 by 2009 Italian Road Champion and 2009 Milan-San Remo winner Filippo Pozzato. Alongside him will be a pool of young talent anxious to make their mark. These include Matteo Rabottini, Thomas Bertolini, Alfredo Balloni, Elia Favilli, and Pier Paolo De Negri.
