COFIDIS

Introduction

In the course of these last years, Cofidis has shown itself as one of the most promising French teams.
The 2010 season was crowned by nice victories: Julien El Fares won early in the year the 4th stage of the Mediterranean Tour and Sebastian Minard the Paris-Camembert race. On the international level, Damien Monier won the 7th stage of the Italian Giro, Kalle Kriit, became Road Champion of Estonia and finally David Moncoutié became famous in the Vuelta by winning the 8th stage and the Jersey of the Best Climber for the 3rd consecutive year.

In 2011 the northern team will welcome four neo-pros:
Adrien Petit (BC Nogent-sur-Oise), Yoann Bagot (BC La Pomme), Nicolas Edet (Véranda Rideau Sarthe) and Florent Barle (BC Aix-en-Provence). The double Road Champion of Latvia and MTB ALEKSEJS SARAMOTINS (HTC TEAM – Columbia) also joined the team as well as the Time Trial Champion of France, Nicolas Vogondy (BBox).

David Moncoutié, the Belgian Jens Keukeleir, the champion of Estonia, Kalle Kriit and his compatriot, Rein Taaramäe, remain the pillars of the team.

Stephane Augé, with Cofidis since 2005, leaves the pack to become Team manager in 2011, together with Didier Rous, newly arrived from B-Box.

The Cofidis team is invited to take part in Tour de France 2011 as well as in the Paris-Nice race.

Cofidis will run this year on the latest LOOK bike, the 695 SR, that includes several worldwide innovations, and on the brand new Keo Power. The 596 will still be used for time trial races, on which the runners will also use the Keo Blade Aero, the very first pedals exclusively devoted to stopwatch races.
